Wacky products: Daddy of all string trimmers

The Big Daddy Driver – a functional, battery-operated string trimmer designed to look like an ordinary golf club – answers the question, “What doyou get for the golfer who has everything?”

The novelty gift was co-invented by Troy Nowell and Big Daddy Golf Founder John Buell after a game where nearly every one of Troy’s drives landed in a thick patch of grass. Of course, the gag gift is meant for laughs at recreational games and will smash to pieces if you try to tee off with it.

If, like me, you spaced on Father’s Day this year (I know, I know) you’ll need a practical, this-is-so-funny-you’ve-just-gotta-forgive-me gift to get you back in dad’s good graces. This may be just the thing !

WEED CUTTING GOLF DRIVER

This gizmo is for those golfers who take the game a bit too serious. The Big Daddy Driver is actually a grass trimmer disguised as a giant golf club. The bottom of the “club” flips open to reveal a bit of string that spins – a functioning weed cutter. The golf gadget is being marketed as a joke/gift.
